What do you admire artists and how they influence your work? I feed many artistas.Admiro to the great classics of the Renaissance, Baroque, Neoclassicism, the Impressionists, to the anonymous classical Greeks, Romans, Mesopotamians, Egyptians, Aztecs, Mayas, the Alamito … The list is endless. Miguel Angel Velazquez, Sorolla, Fortuny, Klimt, Schiele, Berni. How was your international experience? When restating abroad? I lived several years in Spain and I said in Madrid, Malaga, Almeria, Paris, Pisa. Now I’m about to exhibit in Guatemala, where I explained last year.

Does it hurt to let go of a piece you sold? Until some time ago it was very painful. Now I feel joy and gratitude. Do you buy the work or rather you buy the artist? Painting is a job. Would be a negative connotation if the painter paint or something that does not feel it threatens to satisfy any interest. I do not think people are sold through their work. Rather produce something that is echoed, speaking mercantile on demand. In art there is no guide, how do you know what next to do? I have a “plan” for the next few weeks, not much further, and that can vary. Do you think it works much of exhibiting contemporary art museums artists are deceased? Understandably, it takes a long time to do a work, sometimes a lifetime. What role have played in your career figures dealer, agent, gallery owner, and middlemen in general? I think the quality of a gallery is based on a combination of factors, first of all, non-negotiable from my perspective is that it relies entirely on its artists, ie they do not impose any image or the press to do what he wants.
